ZendCasts missing?

Hello Jon,

looking at the archives under
  http://www.zendcasts.com/archives/
and the first episode
  http://www.zendcasts.com/creating-zend_ … s/2008/12/
I have the impression that some ZendCasts are missing... Correct?

Thanks, Udo

Re: ZendCasts missing?

hmmm... looks like something got messed up with wordpress since that was the fourth episode!

you can download them here:

I'm going to have to overhaul the site in the coming months. The forum is an attempt at trying to separate the discussion from the videos so I can migrate away from WordPress

Re: ZendCasts missing?

Great to hear you have plans to overhaul the site a bit, seeing as how I belive it has now grown beyond the scope of WordPress (or atleast how things are done now).

By this I mean:
The "archive" section is an "ok" way of browsing all available videos, but seeing how it only categorizes them by dates, it really makes it inefficient to browse for a spesific topic, or a set of casts that cover a certain area.
Tags do make an attempt to tackle the categorizing issue, but I'd say it also quite fails at the matter, as it is very prone to human error.
For example:
I would expect the "Make an index file for a Zend Framework project", "Writing a bootstrap file", and "Creating Zend_Controllers" (and probably some others) to be under the "quickstart" tag, but that isn't the case. To get to the bootstrap cast, I need to change tags to "bootstrapping". It isn't a big deal, but I feel it just isn't intuitive enough, and kind'a chaotic.

Also, as udo points out, it seems that the "Archives" fail to display casts posted prior to january 2009, and as such, making it impossible / highly unintuitive for newcomers to access the ealier (and probably some of the most important casts (for developers new to Zend Framework, atleast)) casts.

In short: It would be really nice if you could re-organize / structure the casts, so that it's easier to get an overview over all the casts that are made so far, as well as getting a clearer picture of which casts are related to each other.
