Hello dear listeners!
Every week (or usually 10 days) I try and put up new and fresh content about the Zend Framework, however as of late, work with my clients has taken precedence. I value every one of your comments and forum posts and have no interest in folding the site or letting it grow stale. Like last year around this time though, I’m going to be taking a small break from Zendcasts for the next month. Thanks to all of you for your contributions, I know that your feedback has helped me become a better developer.

I will be missing your excellent casts.
A few words to thank you for the excellent work provided to the community. I really appreciate the time invested to achieve zendcasts.
I know that is hard work and i hope to see you again soon with more great tutorials.
I encourage everyone to donate.

Hi Jon!
I have to say that without this incredible blog, I couldn’t finish some of the features of my PHP projects.
For that reason, I have to say an honest “thank you!”. You were one of my best teachers in the development class.
I will follow your steps.

Hi John,
Thank you very much for you GREAT casts.
I think you speak french, so if you come in france, don’t miss Bordeaux. We have a room for guests ! (it’s not a joke !)
Have a good rest, please to see you soon.
Gilles
It seems to be the right moment to thank you for the great stuff you deliver through this website. You casts are awesome, i learned a lot from them, you’re easy to understand when explaining things, you advises are very helpfull.
I’m also interrested only in the Zend Framework, i’m not a professionnal but codding is a passion, it burns me since i discovered it as being a litle kid. So i don’t think to have found some sites so helpfull and so clear and interresting as your to use it as a teatcher.
As a “student” i can’t ask questions, but the lessons are very very usefull and helpfull. How many times, while watching one of your videos, have i thought, “why isn’t more web sites like one this over the internet ?”
So, i’was looking forward to discovering the next topic,
Take your time, it’s a really kindly action you’ve made trough this website, helping others, sharing your experience and your talents.
So, thank you John for all this stuff, thanks to help me to improve my skills, thank you to share in a so simple and usefull way your skills and to give part of your time to prepare and realise those great videos.
See you soon !!!! Keep up the good work !!!!!!
Once again, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THIS STUFF !!!!!!!
best regards,

Hi discovered your website just recently, but it has been a great help for my projects. I’m working on a new project and I implemented a lot of the tutorials you gave here. I hope there will be a lot more in the feature.
For now, have a good rest and I hope to see you back later.
Keep up the good work.
Hi all,
Thank you Jon. Without your casts i would accomplish my task.
However I’ve got other sort of question.
New Symfony is annouced and many say that it is supposed to be best framework ever.
As I am newbie, still spending a lot of time on learning zf at the moment, I wonder what is you opinion as you all are professionals.
Regards,
Jox
Thank you very much for your fantastic webcasts. You’re really helping me understand Zend Framework.
Your site is great. You have done a really good work. Try to take a rest. We all know you deserve it.
Hi Jon!
I was really missing another video and came back again and again to see if another one was shared. Thank you for what you do! It became a tradition for me to watch your screencasts.
Best regards,
Oleg
Hi Jox,
The new Symfony is using many Zend Framework components as a way of minimizing the amount of redundant endeavours in the PHP community. Symfony is a fantastic framework (as is Zend) and they each serve a different purpose. Both are well tested, have strong communities and industry backing. Both employ best practices and both have good track records. As a developer, I think it’s important to always have a couple other frameworks or languages on the periphery (for example, I’m writing an iPad app right now), however from a business perspective, jumping from one framework to another is costly and reduces consistency.
my 2 cents,

Jon, thank you very much from russia. Your web-casts are really helpful and they helping me understand ZendFM. Thank you one more time.
Thank you for your efforts, jon. Your videos are clear and precise. could you also talk about the usage of zend full text search like Zend_Search_Lucene later?
Best regards,
Carson
Jon,
) and enlightening.
Your work is inestimable and your zendcasts addictive (I already have some withdrawal symptoms
Have a really good time and come back to us soon!
Best regards,
Greg
Thanks for all the good screencasts, Jon!
Have helped me a lot. I don’t think I would have dived into ZF if I hadn’t found your screencast and the forums.:)
I don’t think you know quite what an impact your screencast have made and how much people appreciate your work with this site!
Thank you once again and I look forward to the when you are back with new screencasts? Maybe you have some new goodies on ZF and Doctrine?;)

..and I look forward to the when you are back with new screencasts!*
Indeed, let me join the choir: Thank you for these excellent screencasts.
I must also add that as much as I benefit from the specifics of learning this or that Zend Framework feature, more than anything, I appreciate the humanity of the whole process.
As a freelancer, I usually work alone, so I don’t have easy access to colleagues with whom I can consult. Looking over your shoulder, actually viewing the composition of code, using the IDE, is all fabulously helpful to me. And when you hit a bump in the road during some demo, it is useful for me to see the quick debug process that goes on.
In summary, I think your screencasts provide a hugely valuable resource for the whole Zend Framework community. I know they do for me.
Thanks again.
